• ​억제기​는 어떤 현상·반응·행동을 억제하거나 낮추는 역할을 하는 장치·기계를 말합니다.
• ​촉진기​는 그와 반대로, 현상을 ​촉진·증진·강화​시키는 장치·기계를 가리킵니다.

 

​억제기 (Suppressor)​

A suppressor is a device or mechanism that works to ​inhibit​, ​decrease​, or ​dampen​ a particular phenomenon, reaction, or behavior. It actively blocks or reduces the intensity of the process it controls.

 

​촉진기 (Promoter / Accelerator)​

A promoter (or accelerator) does the opposite: it ​enhances​, ​stimulates​, or ​increases​ the activity or magnitude of a phenomenon. Its purpose is to boost, speed up, or strengthen the process it governs.
